banks, joint-stock banks, city commercial banks, rural commercial banks, securities

companies and other types of financial institutions. The exchange of bonds into

perpetual bonds issued by both large state-owned commercial banks and joint-stock

banks, as well as perpetual bonds issued by city commercial banks, reflects the

support for small and medium-sized banks to issue perpetual bonds to replenish their

capital.

The People's Bank of China will take into account the market conditions and

reasonable demand, and conduct CBS operations stably and carefully in a

market-oriented manner.
